Jiddu Krishnamurti Redux: Transits to the Angles
When the victor transits the angles, the life purpose is revealed.
As I review horoscopes I’ve rectified over the last 20 years for these posts, I routinely examine transits of the victor of the horoscope to the angles. While I have argued that transits to the angles are usually overplayed in modern rectification approaches, they nonetheless help confirm a rectification—especially when transits of the victor to the angles are examined. This is particularly true when the victor is a slower-moving planet like Saturn, whose transit to the angles may occur only once or twice during the active career of a person’s life.
On 11-Jan-1927, Krishnamurti delivered poem to Theosophical colleagues at Ojai. In it he claims of having had a vision of the Buddha when
“the early morning was still and breathless.” It was then that he had “grasped the infinite simplicity of truth,” and had “suddenly realised” that he was himself “the Truth...the Law...the Refuge...the Guide, the Companion and the Beloved.”
[Quoted in Al Boag, From Blavatsky to Krishnamurti: Hindu Chronology, Biblical Eschatology, Physiology, Literature & Aesthetics 21 (1) June 2011, page 131]
Three days later Annie Besant declared “The World Teacher is here.”
Here are transits for 11-Jan-1927 for the rectified chart (12:58:48 am vs ADB 12:30 am).
Saturn transits the MC 11-Jan-1927, exact day match. Jupiter had transited the ASC degree seven days earlier on 4-Jan-1927. As Wednesday’s post details, Saturn is the victor of the horoscope and signifies Krishnamurti directly whereas Jupiter signifies Annie Besent.
Not shown above is another measurement to the Lot of Spirit 1LI44. For 11-Jan-1927, converse solar arc (csa) Saturn is 1LI50 conjunct the lot within 6 minutes of degree.
Fast forward to 3-Aug-1929, the day Krishnamurti dissolved the Order of the Star.
While these transits do not contact the angles, they nevertheless confirm delineations made in Wednesday’s post. Saturn is closely conjunct the Moon, which signifies Krishnamurti puncturing the wild optimism of his followers—that he is actually not the World Teacher prophesied by the Theosophical Society. Jupiter in Gemini is in the sign of detriment in the 4th house (end of the matter), signifying the weakness of Annie Besant (e.g., Jupiter in detriment by transit compared to Jupiter in exaltation by natal placement). Mars transits the South Node, which signifies Krishnamurti’s secret enemies within the Theosophical Society being crushed. Then we have an exact Venus return. As the Moon’s configuration discussion demonstrated in Wednesday’s post, the Moon’s application to Venus signifies Krishnamurti’s mature life trajectory as performed speech—communication as beauty, persuasion by serenity, not by force.
Not shown in this wheel is direct solar arc (dsa) Mercury 1CA45 which is exactly 10 signs from the Lot of Spirit 1LI44. With natal Mercury/Taurus in the 4th house end-of-life in generosity with Venus/Gemini in the 5th, Mercury signals how writing and communication will occupy the rest of his years post-Theosophical Society.

Using the Astrodatabank time of 12:30 am with an Ascendant of 18AQ53, Midheaven of 27SC20, and a Lot of Spirit 23SC23, none of these measurements would be possible. Much less Zodiacal Releasing from Spirit which is a much better fit when the Lot of Spirit is moved from late Scorpio to early Libra. This is a good example of why I demand the precision of rectified horoscope for my astrological research.
